Partner, IP Lawyer, EU Trademark and Design Attorney

I have over 20 years of diverse experience as an IP lawyer, particularly in managing trademark and domain matters. I assist our clients in all stages of the trademark and domain life cycle, from the brand selection process to IP enforcement.

I have an extensive experience in settling trademark disputes both amicably and in various courts of law in Finland and elsewhere in Europe. Further to IP prosecution, I have also been involved in several challenging assignments related to IP agreements as well as copyright issues. I am actively involved in IP organizations and frequently feature as an expert in related media and events in Finland and abroad. In particular,  I have attended INTA and FICPI activities and committees for several years.

Roles in FICPI

  • CET 1 Trade Marks

    CET Group 1 deals with all issues that are related with trade mark registration, prosecution, maintenance and protection.

    The group's field of work includes national trade marks, EU trade marks and international trade marks in accordance with the Madrid Agreement and Protocol, with a special focus on the harmonisation of laws at international and national level. FICPI’s focus is to improve the legal position of brand owners and facilitate the work of trade mark practitioners.

    In addition, as the group has a high understanding of the interaction of trade marks with other IP and related rights and the importance of Internet for trade mark owners. There is a special focus on geographical indications and domain names.
